3rd year in a row I've seen it- 1st year was the best. While the last two acts were phenomenal, the rest was pretty blah.

Festival Schedule:

Thursday, March 31st
7:00pm – Grand Procession
A rousing parade down Alberta Street, in which the legendary Fighting Instruments of Karma Marching Band from Oregon Country Fair leads an assembly of Cascadia’s finest to the threshold of The Alberta Rose.

8:00pm – Cabaret Revue
La Pena Flamenco play the soundtrack for a European-style cabaret, curated by cowboy clown David “Leapin’ Louie” Lichtenstein (Clowns Without Borders). Bubble maestro Tom Noddy, Cirque du Soleil juggler Pat McGuire, hip-hop dance quartet Up Jump, and the high-flying Aerialistas lead a cast of dozens on our festive opening night.

Friday, April 1st
8:00pm – Caravan of Glam
Justin Buckles and Ecstacy Inferno, founders of the Caravan of Glam, present a scaled-up edition of their groundbreaking queer cabaret. Core family Isaiah Esquire, Johnny Nuriel, Jayla Rose, and Ecstacy Inferno welcome guests Pollo Del Mar (San Francisco), Anastasia Euthansia, Charity Marchandt, and Alma Bitches (Vancouver BC) for the biggest, baddest drag circus this town has ever seen.

Saturday, April 2nd
2:00pm – Family Puppet Matinee
The very finest in puppetry, clowning, circus arts, and music for children are featured in our first afternoon show. Red Yarn, Sarah Frechette, Clay Martin, and Signal Light Puppet Theater are just a few of the puppeteers showcased by curator Nancy Aldrich (Tears of Joy). Kids are welcome.

8:00pm – Naughty Nautical Night
Tana the Tattooed Lady, pin-up queen and co-director of the Oregon Burlesque Festival, leads a crew of bawdy buccaneers on our infamous adult cabaret night. See Brittany Walsh, Sandria Dore, Holly Dai, Mae Zing, Adam Goldthwaite, Indigo Sky, and more more more, on a night when anything goes.

Sunday, April 3rd
2:00pm – Next Generation Student Showcase
AWOL Dance director Brandy Guthery presents advanced student troupes from Pendulum Dance Theatre, The AWOL Aeros, Echo Theater, and other teachers of this fine city’s next generation of circus artists.

8:00pm – Circus Finale
Our 2016 festival comes to a rousing conclusion with a night of world-class acrobats, aerialists, draq queens, b-boys, burlesquers, and all things bright and beautiful from Wanderlust Circus ringmaster Noah Mickens.
