Good for the older crowd as we remember hiway diners and filling stations. Good for the younger crowd to get a "slice" of what those times were like.

Remarkable that a small community theatre can assemble a cast that can play music and sing togethr so well, as well as produce laughs and act convincingly. I had not realized that this show won the Tony Award for Best Musical in 1983.

The music was good, the cast had good voices, the piano player was the surpirse voice though.
It did bring back fond memories of the 5oties, when you actually received service at a station and a friendly smile from your witress.
