Multitalented, World Record-Setting Stand-Up Comic Mr. Showtime
In April of 2013, Mr. Showtime -- a.k.a. David Scott -- stepped up to the microphone at a casino in Dubuque, Iowa and began his stand-up comedy set. Most comics' sets are 10, 15 or 20 minutes long, but on that day Mr. Showtime stood on the stage telling jokes for an astounding 40 hours and eight minutes, setting the Guinness World Record for the longest stand-up comedy performance by an individual -- a record that stands to this day. Mr. Showtime's act transcends comedy to include music, mind reading and showmanship in a performance that you have to see to believe. Fortunately, you'll have a chance to see it when Mr. Showtime comes to Zanies in Rosemont -- and don't worry, because this act won't last for 40 hours.
