Visit Roseville for a one-day festival featuring illustrious jazz figures and next-generation leaders during the second annual Roseville Jazz Day Festival. The festival's lineup of internationally and locally known artists includes trumpeter Mike Vax (leader of the Stan Kenton Legacy) and Cleave Guyton and Will Matthews from the Count Basie Orchestra. Also slated to appear: a Duke Ellington and Count Basie Tribute, a Pat Metheny tribute, American River College Vocal Jazz Ensemble, and Bill Dendle and Shelley Burns. You'll also hear gypsy jazz from Hot Club Faux Gitane, pianist Jim Martinez (who's been praised as "great" by jazz lover Clint Eastwood) and his band, and more than a dozen other jazz acts, all playing at Vernon Street Town Square.
