Enigmatic Folk Musician Richard Shindell2700 Capitol Ave Sacramento, CA 95816
Richard Shindell's songs skip across the emotional spectrum, from savagely witty to deeply metaphysical. Along the way, they paint a vivid picture, earning him a reputation for rich storytelling through song. This former seminary student starting writings songs in the '80s and quickly earned a cult following among folkies. In the '90s, he was covered by Joan Baez and teamed with Dar Williams and Lucy Kaplansky to form the group Cry, Cry Cry. At the turn of the millenium, Shindell moved to Argentina and has continued to record and perform, splitting his time between New York and his newly adopted home of Argentina. Don't miss this West Coast appearance at The Sofia Tsakopoulos Center for The Arts in Sacramento.
