In The Costume Ball
, husband and wife Harry and Gwen have a charity masquerade ball to attend but Harry's without a costume. At his wife's insistence, he begrudgingly agrees to go in drag. Once he's got on the dress -- and the makeup, wig and padded bra -- Harry actually starts to enjoy his new persona. But before the couple can set out on their fun evening, an important (and very conservative) business connection shows up, only to find Harry dressed as a woman. Harry, panicking, pretends to be his visiting sister "Hilary." Hilarity ensues in this award-winning, witty comedy written by Norman Beim. Michael Messmer directs.
