Jean Giraudoux's The Madwoman of Chaillot, written in World War II-era France, is a delightfully satirical, surreal fable about an eccentric countess who happens upon a plot to uproot the city of Paris to search for oil beneath its streets. She rallies several other oddballs and outcasts, as well as some of her fellow madwomen, in a bid to defeat the greedy developers, resulting in an all-too-relevant comic commentary on big business. The 1969 movie version starred Katharine Hepburn in the title role, and Angela Lansbury won a Tony for her part in the musical adaptation, Dear World. Learn More

The Theater complex is quite unique. We were meeting friends who had not been there before and thought they were lost! Small intimate theater ( 25-30 people) at most. The play was crazy, fast paced, laugh out loud, good. We all enjoyed it. You know something is good when you are still talking about it over dinner and even quoting lines.
This show contains profanity, violence and adult situations. It is recommended for mature audiences.
