The Minnesota Historical Society offers a 90-minute walking tour of St. Paul's famed Summit Avenue, named one of America's "Great Streets" in 2008. This excursion highlights the Gilded Age mansions that populate this elite neighborhood, while the friendly and knowledgeable guides share the stories of both the architects who built them and the families that resided within these imposing structures. The social history of the area and current preservation issues will also be topics of discussion on this leisurely stroll, which begins outside the Hill House and ends outside the Cathedral of St. Paul. I was told, if you are part of a large group, you can opt for a buffet dinner before the show but this is not an option for an individual or a small group. There is a concession stand for drinks and popcorn. You can bring your drinks inside the theatre.dining • Jul 09 2013 star this tip starred

This young and talented cast led us back in time with this 1905 melodrama. Between scenes, the performers' incredible singing talents were highlighted with musical olios (musical sketches.) I was particularly impressed with the three women who sang arias and delighted by the musical salute to modern medicine. A show like this is fun for all ages.
Recommended for audiences ages 8 and older, the show runs approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes, including one 15-minute intermission.
