Zoot Suit Riot is an exciting theatrical big band party that evokes the spirit of the historical Chicano cultural revolution that shook L.A. in the 1940s. Capturing the post-WWII era's highly-charged, trend-setting swing music, energetic dancing and wildly colorful style, the show features popular songs from '90s swing revivalist bands like Cherry Poppin' Daddies ("Zoot Suit Riot") and Royal Crown Revue ("Hey! Pachuco!"), inspired by the era's combination of outrageously cool style and demands for social change. Learn More

Band was GREAT, Chris garbled into the mic while talking and never really looked at the total audience. The stage lighting blinded the balcony patrons thru most of the show, very annoying. My guests also felt it was just an okay show.
He is best known for his Top Ten hit songs, “Sailing”, “Ride Like the Wind”, and “Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do),” the latter of which he performed for the film Arthur starring Dudley Moore and Liza Minnelli. “Sailing” earned three awards at the 1981 Grammy Awards Ceremony, while “Arthur’s Theme” won the Oscar for Best Original Song in 1981. He is the only solo artist to receive all of the “Big Four” Grammy Awards (Best Record, Song, Album, and New Artist) in the same year.
