City Ballet's Nutcracker was beautiful! We enjoyed every minute. The Spreckels Theatre is small and intimate enough that even at the back rows you can see the dancers clearly.

The Spreckels Theater is such a beautiful and intimate setting, and the production is wonderful--dancing, costumes, set and live orchestra. My only caution is that my preschool grandchildren did well except for the mice who they found scary. To...continued

The venue is small and intimate so there isn't a bad seat in the house. The sets were beautiful and the dancing and costumes were on par with what we would expect from a top ballet company. I would highly recommend!

This has to be the best performance of The Nutcracker in San Diego. Can't beat the venue either - Spreckles is gorgeous and a very special place to see the traditional holiday ballet.
I will go year after year.

Set design, costumes, and performances were impressive. The charisma of some of these dances just leaps off the stage. The theater was great too, i thought I had the cheap seats but I could see perfectly.

and for the Goldstar price, this is a...continued

The professional dancers from the company that dance in this production are absolutely top notch. On the night I attended (December 15) the cast stand-outs were the Sugar Plan fairy and Cavalier, the Arabian dancers as well as one seriously...continued

There are several options in San Diego to experience the Nutcracker, but I believe the venue choice should be just as significant as the event itself. Either by being in a beautiful setting or in an architecturally beautiful building. The...continued

It was a different production than other's I've seen. It was beautifully done. Also, to my surprise our tickets had been upgraded from Side Mezzanine to Orchestra.

Because this was my first time seeing The Nutcracker, I was very excited. While I enjoyed the performance I felt it lacked something. Since I had not seen it previously, I couldn't really put a finger on it. The lead performances were very good....continued

I love the Nutcracker at Spreckels! The theater is not too huge so one can see and hear well and feels almost part of the show. The dancers are impressively good, the costumes and stage are beautiful and the live orchestra and choir are also...continued

The actual even was cool but the fact that I called ahead of time to make sure I got all three seats next to one another, and it was confirmed by both goldstar and the box office, only to find that when I got there I had been lied to is just...continued
