As a SF Resident, I usually avoid these tourist things. But I figured I would do it @ the Goldstar price. Small, but interesting but I don't think it's worth the full price. It was not busy the day I went. Later afternoon is best so as to...continued

Loved the huge walk-through tanks with mesmerizing schools of anchovies and sardines and enjoyed my first look at the giant Pacific octopuses. Aquarium folks were all helpful and well informed.

Somewhat small offerings for all the hoopla. Two really nice tubular tanks that you can walk through and take pictures in - but very little else of any merit.

If I had to choose, I'd take the Steinhart Aqaurium at the Academy of Sciences any...continued

It's a nice experience. There are nice displays. It's not a massive place, but then, neither is the ticket price. Staff are quite pleasant.

My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Aquarium. It is small, but the reviews posted on Goldstar warned us in advance. If you are looking for a super large Aquarium, this is not the place for you.

Not a large aquarium, but the whole tunnel was amazing. The sharks and feeding time was unbelievable. I wish the river otter exhibit was bigger with more activity. And more octopi!

Much of the musuem centers around the peril the oceans are in and what we can do to preserve them which I found useful and educational especially since the musuem is very child-friendly.
Some great creatures and exhibits. Compared to the bigger...continued

A must-see when you go to the Wharf. Beautifully designed. Enchanting to walk thru the fish and see them from all angles.

What a gem this place is! I love its design, flow and message: that the San Francisco Bay is more than a mere "attraction" -- it's a treasure that must be respected and protected.

The underground plexiglass tunnel was a window into another...continued

It was not too crowded when we went on a Sunday and we were able to see everything, take great photos, and touch the specimens. With discounted tickets, it was well worth the price. We drove around a bit until we finally found free street parking...continued

Great experience! A lot to see and touch and learn. Good for all ages ---none too young nor too old to enjoy.

I took a group of kids there for a birthday party and had booked a guide for a regular tour. It makes a big difference to have a guide with you as she kept the kids focused and entertained during a full hour.
The aquarium itself is a neat, not...continued

I'm glad I didn't pay full price. The only thing that I enjoyed a bit was the circular moving conveyor belt that you step on and moves around through a tube as you watch the creatures swim past you. I also liked the hands on experience touching...continued

This is an outstanding aquarium with an awesome tube that you walk through surrounded by sharks, rays etc. The staff is very helpful and the location on Fisherman's Wharf is fantastic.

I wanted something to do on the waterfront in SF during a cloudy day. The aquarium fit the bill. The people who work there are helpful and there's some good information about the Bay. It's very small and if you are unlucky the things you want...continued

Never got to use the tickets. It was closed for a private event the day we tried to go. They gave me a handwritten pass to come back another time by a specified date. Very shabby handling. Lost the paper and never went.
