Theatresports is improvisation played as a sporting event. Teams of improvisers compete in a series of scenes, games, and challenges vying for points awarded by three Olympic-style judges (who score each scene on a scale from one to five.)

The audience is involved throughout the show, shouting suggestions; volunteers are sometimes invited to participate in one of the rounds. At the end of the evening, the team with the most points wins. It’s wildly entertaining and BATS Improv’s most popular format.

Battle of the Bay features the BATS Company players divided into six themed teams that satirize citizens of San Francisco, and the North, East, and South Bays. Each show is completely different, so you can attend again and again and experience an exciting blend of theater and improv comedy.
