Two pioneers of punk are back on tour, with original members and the same raw attitude that rocketed them to stardom in the '80s. Blondie emerged from the New York underground to become the most commercially popular punk/new wave band, with hits that draw on a range of musical influences from the disco-flavored "Heart of Glass" to the reggae-inspired "The Tide is High" to the hit "Rapture," which features small bursts of rap. Of course, Blondie also has a string of pop blockbusters like "One Way or Another," "Dreaming" and "Call Me." In 2006, Blondie was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, and next year will mark the band's 40th anniversary. This tour includes Blondie's founding members Clem Burke, Chris Stein and Debbie Harry. With them will be influential L.A. band X, known for their jet-fueled blend of punk, rockabilly and blues. Founding members John Doe and Exene Cervenka are still major figures on the underground music scene, and their song "Los Angeles" remains an anthem for young West Coast punks. The original lineup of X is still intact for this tour.
