not very funny!! he had his moments but i would have been disappointed had i paid full price (thank you goldstar for providing the discounts). a lot of breaks and downtime in the performance. with him trying to get the audience involved that took a lot of time out of the act and seemed to be pretty dry. the audience involvement part only works if there is some serious heckling going on and that wasn't the case... most of his humour was ethnic oriented which again had its moments but the act was lacking in true comic genius. maybe he was having an off day but i would not see him again...

Ahmed mentioned he was tired several times during the show, did not provide much of his own input, instead just went through the first row of people one by one asking people where they are from.

Ahmed Ahmed was born in Helwan, Egypt in 1970. His parents immigrated to the US when he was one month old, and he grew up in Riverside, CA. Ahmed moved to Hollywood when he was 19 years old to pursue a career as an actor and stand-up comedian. He attended The American Academy of Dramatic Arts for one year and studied with various acting coaches such as Cliff Osmond, Ivana Chubbuck and Sandy Marshall.
He’s been seen in such films and television shows as_ Iron Man, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan, Swingers, Tracey Takes On, Roseanne, JAG, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn_ on Comedy Central and MTV’s Punk’d. He’s also appeared on CNN, The View, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and NPR. He was featured on the front page of The Wall Street Journal in December of 2001, and was also featured in Newsweek. Currently can be seen on the Fahrenheit 9/11 DVD bonus track performing stand up comedy. A paid regular performer at The World Famous Comedy Store in Hollywood, Ahmed tours all across America and Europe. The winner of the first annual Richard Pryor Award for ethnic comedy at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival in Scotland summer of 2004, Ahmed has written an original screenplay titled The Pilgrimage based on his Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca).
