About BATS Improv

BATS Improv, a non-profit education and performance company, has entertained Bay Area audiences since 1986. Their unique style of acting-based improvisational theatre has made them the Bay Area’s largest improv theater company and school and is a benchmark for improv all over the world. The SF Chronicle calls them “bounce in your seat funny,” the SF Guardian has named them the Bay Area’s “Best Comedy Troupe” and SF Weekly says, “Chicago has Second City. San Francisco has BATS.” BATS is in residence at the 200-seat Bayfront Theater at historic Fort Mason Center in San Francisco and performs 50 weekends per year, year round.
