Tony Winner John Lloyd Young (Jersey Boys) in Cabaret
John Lloyd Young made such an indelible impression as Frankie Valli in the original Broadway production of Jersey Boys, that Clint Eastwood chose him to star in the movie version as well. It probably helped that the stage role made Young the only American actor ever to receive a Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle and Theatre World Award as well as a Tony Award for Lead Actor in a Musical. He's since released his own R&B-tinged album My Turn, starred in an all-star production of Les Miserables at the Hollywood Bowl, appeared in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade and in concert at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center and the White House. Catch Young as he returns to Feinstein's at the Nikko in San Francisco, following sold-out engagements four years in a row, for an intimate performance, and find out what led the The New York Times to describe his voice as a "one-in-a-million high tenor shading into falsetto that he can direct through the stratosphere."
