It was a cute production, the four actors were quite funny, sometimes they couldn't be heard either due to the piano, ceiling fans whirling or their voices didn't project. Only an hour plus production with no intermission. Staging and props were simple and handmade, like community theater.
The stage and theater was small and intimate, easily general seating of 80 seats. The place was full on a Friday night, at 7:50pm, 2 rows behind us were open then it was filled by 8:05pm. I got my free tix 2 weeks before. Box office opens at 7:30pm, two programs instead of tix waiting for me. Doors open at 7:45pm. Got really hot in the theater, no AC but two oscillating fans, people where fanning themselves. CD's of the songs were being sold after the show. I didn't know they have been in production for 4 years. Cute waiting area of seats outside the basement theater where the box office and drinks sold. Two theaters, one upstairs and one in the basement. One bathroom on the main floor, two women's upstairs. Stairs are steep to go down to the basement and upstairs.
Inside parking only a block away on Sutter, I think around $32.

“Performed by four very talented singers… _Shopping! The Musical _reminds me of those wonderful little revues that used to occur down in the Village in New York or the great Billy Barnes shows in Los Angeles.” —Talkin’ Broadway
