SFIAF Presents: Solo Date
Technology has opened numerous doors in society, including those matters of the heart, for better or worse. In the new work Solo Date, a man endeavors to reconstruct his deceased lover through artificial intelligence and social media. As part of the San Francisco International Arts Festival, this innovative, elegant and moving play from the Tainaner Ensemble and Pao-Chang Tsai, uses new media to explore loneliness and longing, desire, death, human loss and need. It also asks profound questions about amorality and ethics of the interactive technologies humankind increasingly relies on.
