Good message. Great punchline at the end. Funny and serious. Some of the dialogue was hard to understand (quick stacatto dialogue with some words hard to recognize).
Mezzanine seats were OK unless you have a large person in front of you who...continued

Great acting. Great story of a historic moment in relations between China and the US. Who would have guessed basketball was the reason?

I'm impressed with the imagination of the playwright Lauren Yee. She's writing stories that I can relate to...continued

Amazing cast, top-notch writing and an insightful piece that made me proud of my Chinatown recreation center roots. The many laughs over things which I thought were uniquely Chinese experiences showed me that this story about identity and the...continued

Engaging, informative, entertaining from start to finish. Simple, interesting sets also.

The dialogue was ok; the actors need to project their voices more, especially we are sitting at the balcony level..we missed some of the "punchlines", people in orchestra were laughing and we didn't know what they were laughing about.

A few days ago I saw a Friday night performance of Lauren Yee's play, and my main criticism of the play stems from the depiction of a young Chinese American San Francisco named Mannford. This character is suppose to be a teenager in the late...continued

Bd Wong was fantastic as always. The ending blew me away but later I realized I could have seen it coming. I appreciated the desire to remain hidden under the radar in the era of the Cultural Revolution.

Extremely well-acted and well staged. The play itself had some weak spots that left me feeling that it needed more filling out.

Great acting by BD Wong. Not a bad story but two of the main characters were unlikeable or cartoon-like. Plus the ending was absurd. Too bad for Wong. His character and his portrayal of that character was fantastic.

B.D. Wong's performance brought tears to my eyes, so tragic. It was an emotionally moving script and very entertaining. Bravo! The line "Take your shot!" immediately reminded me of another high quality play I have recently seen and I love the...continued

Because we had no idea where our seats would be, we were very pleased that they were Row F Center! Will definitely use Gold Star again for future performances. Thank you!

Loved every minute-cast the greatest! If I can manage it, would like to attend another performance. I am telling friends it is a must if you grew up in/around SF Asian community. Would like to see more of Lauren Yee plays at A.C.T. too.

Well, unfortunately, this show was terrible. We came for B.D Wong but his Chinese accent was laughable and almost insulting. The characters were typical sterotypes and the storyline was pretty weak. The show was so bad that we left at...continued
