$21.50 - $42
Celebrating its 40th season in the Bay Area, world-renowned vocal group Chanticleer is inaugurating San Francisco's newly-created Trinity Center for the Arts with a benefit concert that honors the Grammy-winning group's past and celebrates its future. The concert program, Then and There, Here and Now, features selections from some of Chanticleer's favorite composers, from Palestrina and Victoria to Mason Bates and Steven Stucky, lustrous examples of the South American baroque, as well as audience favorite arrangements by Jennings, Shaw and others. This performance is a moving tribute to the historic Trinity Episcopal Church, which boasts a beautiful, acoustically outstanding interior and a 1924 E.M. Skinner symphonic pipe organ.
