Had a fantastic time, however...
What I would bring next time:
1. Hand sanitizer (the laces on the skates smell like mildew)
2. Old shoes (you have to leave your shoe outside while you skate - although no shoes went missing that I'm aware of)
3. Extra pair of socks (your socks can get wet walking to and from getting skates)
Enjoy ice skating under the stars – and palm trees – at one of the most breathtaking rinks on the planet. Where else can you spin and glide under clear skies and swaying palm trees that twinkle at night?
Head to Downtown Ice in downtown San Jose and experience for yourself why more than 45,000 skaters spin around the one-of-a-kind circular rink in the Circle of Palms Plaza each holiday season. Located in the heart of downtown at 120 S. Market Street, between the San Jose Museum of Art and the Fairmont Hotel, the rink is at its best after dark when lights twinkle off the 32 palms and stars shine from overhead.
There are no lockers or secure storage on site. Please do not bring valuables to the rink. There are no restrooms once you enter the ice rink, so it is recommended that you use the facilities located adjacent to the rink, in the plaza area, prior to entering.
Downtown Ice is a San Jose Downtown Association production.
