I purchased tickets for this show having no idea what it was about, much like how the director described the experience of the young cast. I had not seen the movie or heard any of the songs before. I was amazed! My husband who was a little apprehensive also enjoyed it! We watched the Olympus cast and Calliope steals the show. It was humorous, and very well produced. I am so glad we were able to experience it and will definitely attend another CMT mainstage production again! Please don't discount the show because they are a young cast. They did a wonderful job. Highly recommended! My husband is sold and has promised to attend another show with me!

Xanadu follows the journey of a magical and beautiful Greek muse, Kira, who descends from the heavens of Mt. Olympus to Venice Beach, California in 1980 on a quest to inspire a struggling artist, Sonny, to achieve the greatest artistic creation of all time – the first Roller Disco (Hey, it’s 1980!) But, when Kira falls into forbidden love with the mortal Sonny, her jealous sisters take advantage of the situation and chaos abounds. This hilarious, roller skating, musical adventure about following your dreams despite the limitations others set for you, promises to become a new CMT hit! You’ll want to keep the music in your head, and Xanadu in your heart, forever.
