A very powerful play! It certainly kept our attention throughout, and it translated a bit into what is happening in politics today. Not for children! But a great bit of entertainment and post-play discussion!

Many of the women gabbled their lines, making them very hard to understand, You do want to know what they are saying.

very amateurish production, weak air conditioning in theater. Play itself very dated.

Quotes & Highlights

“As Charles Isherwood wrote in Variety about a 2002 New York production, ‘Arturo Ui paints a blunt picture of a smug society easily corrupted and ultimately overtaken by a low-level hoodlum and his gang of thugs.’ Does this sound at all familiar? Is it too soon? Or maybe too late? City Garage, known for daring, highly stylized sociopolitical theater, is the ideal local company to revive this infrequently done, disturbingly timely play.” — Los Angeles Times
