The quality of the voices and orchestra was high, staging effective, and we thoroughly enjoyed the production. We will look for more events at this venue.

Best Musical seen in years! Great, fast paced and brought my son who enjoyed it rather than fall asleep like most times!

Description

This classic musical was the final collaboration between Rodgers and Hammerstein and has become the world’s most beloved musical based on the story of the Von Trapp Family Singers.

Winner of six Tony Awards which included Best Musical, Book and Score, it has been performed on Broadway several times, toured nationally and on hundreds of stages the world over. The movie won five Academy Awards, including Best Picture.

The magnificent score contains some of the most memorable songs ever produced on a musical stage including “My Favorite Things,” “Do-Re-Mi,” “Edelweiss,” and of course, the title song, “The Sound of Music.”
