Donny McCaslin (Bowie's Blackstar) With Kneebody
When it came time for David Bowie to record his genre-blending final masterpiece, Blackstar, he tapped Grammy-nominated avant-garde jazz saxophonist Donny McCaslin and his group to weave the utterly original sonic tapestry for the album. Now, two years after Bowie's death, McCaslin has reflected on the experience, drawing on everything he learned from Bowie to record a new album, Blow. You can catch the dynamic, daring McCaslin live in concert at The Triple Door in Seattle, with jazz-fusion band Kneebody. Mashing up jazz with everything from electro-pop to hip-hop, the group has been called "resolutely un-pindownable" (The New York Times).
