Hubbard Street Dance Chicago (HSDC) is respected internationally as a creative force in contemporary dance. As one of the few touring dance companies that performs year-round, the impact of HSDC extends far beyond the Windy City. However, as they come to Seattle, Hubbard Street Dance brings the traditions and exciting innovations of a different location altogether: Israel. Calling it "one of the most culturally significant initiatives" in the company's history, HSDC will present a full evening of works by Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal, two Israeli choreographers from the Batsheva Dance Company of Tel Aviv. The company will perform Naharin's Three to Max
, and Too Beaucoup
by Eyal and Gai Behar. Thanks to the truly global efforts of HSDC and the Israeli Consulate, the very best in contemporary dance will come to Seattle for a special one-night-only show.
