The weather was sunny in the morning, rainy in the afternoon. I wore sweat pants, hoodie, sometimes down jacket. tennis shoes. It could be better if wearing hiking shoes, but it's not bad in tennis shoes.

Joe is a gifted tour guide. He knows the mountain well and takes his group to all of his special spots. It was a beautiful, sunny day and the road to Refection Lake had just opened for the season. The only downside for Goldstar participants is...continued

The seasons, weather, and elevation partially determine what you’ll see on your tour.

Paradise is usually snow-free by July, with alpine flowers appearing shortly thereafter. Mount Rainier itself may be shrouded in clouds at any time of year.

Please dress for the weather and be prepared for cool-cold temperatures on the mountain.

Hiking shoes or boots are recommended.
