A complimentary glass of champagne with brunch would be in order, I would think, for a $55 cruise. You wouldn't take this ride for the food--it's pretty unmemorable--and the view/experience is little different than riding the ferry. Drinks are really expensive too. $11 for a margarita or bloody mary. For the $$$ I would've expected better food: there's no omelette bar, eggs benedict, waffles, pancakes. You get piles of premade scrambled eggs, boiled shrimp (like you'd get in a shrimp cocktail), costco-like fruit plate, store-bought danishes, good home fries, really good sausage, good ham.
I suppose this is more of a tourist activity than one for the locals. I would recommend to a tourist to grab breakfast at Lowells, then walk on to one of our several ferries for an equivalent viewing experience for a fraction of the price.
On a positive note: The boat decks were lovely, and the service was friendly and attentive.
