Irish Music From Caladh Nua
Fusing the recognizable elements of traditional Irish tunes with a touch of modern styling, Caladh Nua brings the deeply-rooted sound of Irish music into the present day in celebration of St. Patrick's Day. Caladh Nua (pronounced Coll-ah Noo-Ah and translated to mean "New Haven") is composed of five talented singers and musicians who play a wide variety of instruments -- from banjos, guitars and fiddles, to tin whistles, accordions and Celtic frame drums called bodhrans. They've toured all around the world and have even performed a private concert for former Irish President, Mary McAleese, and now they bring their spirited sound to the Broadway Center for the Performing Arts.
