Yehuda Gilad, Music Director and conductor

Don’t miss this first-time event when the Colburn Orchestra travels from its downtown LA home to a wonderful Thousand Oaks performing facility, the Fred Kavli Theatre!

The program includes Giuseppe Verdi’s Overture to La Forza del Destino, Frank Martin’s Concerto for Seven Wind Instruments, Timpani, Percussion, and String Orchestra featuring faculty and student soloists, and Pyotr Illyich Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 4 in F Minor, Op. 36.

The Martin Concerto features Colburn faculty members James Walker, flute; Richard Beene, bassoon; and Mark Lawrence, trombone along with Conservatory student soloists Titus Underwood, oboe; Gabriel Campos Zamora, clarinet; Johanna Yarbrough, french horn; Kristopher Westrich, trumpet; and Joseph Beribak, timpani.
