Toni Morrell did a superb job of giving background information and a synopsis of each lady that she featured and then followed it with the signature songs of that woman. She "volunteered" a man from the audience as a prop when she did her impersonation of Marlena Dietrich - very funny. Then gave the man's wife a rose to thank her for letting her "borrow her husband" for her routine. As a special surprise, Tippi Hedren was in the audience. They showed a brief clip of the new DVD about Shambala - the exotic cat preserve that Tippi has in Acton, Ca.
My sister accompanied me to this event and she really enjoyed it immensely which really means a lot as she critiques everything - usually not in the positive!
I recommend you go see it.

Outstanding performance...A++++!!!! Toni Morrell gave her best....her voice resonates the emotions of the Ladies she pays tribute to. I was enthralled with the connection she had with her audience....what an entertainer!! I loved the movie clips...continued
Not by doing impersonations, but in her own unique style, Toni Morrell salutes such legendary ladies as Judy Garland, Edith Piaf, Shirley Bassey, Marlene Dietrich, Lucille Ball, Marilyn Monroe, Liza Minnelli, Lena Horne, Cher, Bette Midler, Peggy Lee, Debbie Reynolds and many others. Toni’s great singing voice, quirky English humor and story-telling combine with film clips to create a loving homage to the great female entertainers of all time.
Toni has performed throughout the United States, Great Britain and Europe, starring on prime-time television in Italy and co-starring twice with Broadway legend Carol Channing. She can be heard worldwide as the spokesperson for the Pixar/Walt Disney Company’s Tinker Bell and Disney Fairies motion pictures. She is also the voice on radio commercials for the luxury auto line, Jaguar.
Providing the brilliant onstage technical and musical direction for _Remembering the Ladies _is Toni’s husband and multi-keyboard “wizard,” David Dial. David has served as Musical Director and/or Technical Director for several Broadway musicals, and has worked with such headliners as Peter Allen, Burt Bacharach and Carol Channing. He is one of the leading “electronic orchestrators” in the business, a renowned composer and music producer.
_Remembering The Ladies is directed by celebrity television producer Karen G. Cadle (_Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous, The Whoopi Goldberg Show). Karen worked with many revered Hollywood legends, including Audrey Hepburn, Lana Turner, Doris Day, Bette Davis, Elizabeth Taylor, June Allyson, Esther Williams and many more. Ms. Cadle’s personal and unique insight on “life with the legends” lends a fascinating and truly unique appeal to this show.
