even though this was a daytime performance, some of the time the stage was not properly lighted. Also, I realize these were discounted tickets, but there were plenty of seats closer to the stage which would have been great for my niece and nephew.

We enjoyed the King and I very much. Some of the plot subtexts were lost on our 9 year old son, but the costumes, choreography and music kept him engaged. The rear orchestra seats were as expected - not what we typically choose, but with a fine...continued

The acting and singing were realy good. I did think it dragged a little in the first act. The Uncle Tom's Cabin (Small House of Uncle Thomas) part was great.

About the Ticket Supplier: Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts

Wolf Trap plays a valuable leadership role in both the local and national performing arts communities. Through a wide range of artistic and education programs, Wolf Trap enhances our nation’s cultural life and ensures that the arts remain accessible and affordable to the broadest possible audience.

Wolf Trap is run through a public/private partnership between the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts and the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. The Foundation, a 501©(3) nonprofit organization, creates and selects programming; develops education programs; handles ticket sales, marketing, publicity, and public relations; and raises funds to support these programs while keeping ticket prices affordable. The National Park Service maintains the grounds and buildings of Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts and provides technical theater assistance for the Filene Center.
