Moody Street String Band Plays Traditional Music at Gore Place
Waltham's own Moody Street String Band returns to Gore Place, the beautiful Federal period historic house and estate of former Massachusetts Governor Christopher Gore. Played on accordion, fiddle, banjo, guitar, mandolin, bodhrán (a type of traditional Irish frame drum) and bass, the concert will feature a selection of the traditional music of Ireland, Scotland and America. From polkas and reels to jigs, waltzes and more, this promises to be a lively and enlightening show of timeless tunes performed in a unique setting -- and you're invited to join in and sing along with some of your holiday favorites.
