The cherry blossoms weren't out but that is hardly within the control of the company offering this tour. Despite that, the tour was very informative and fun. The group was the right size. The guide was very knowledgeable and gracious. And the Kite Festival on the Mall almost made up for the lack of cherry blossoms. I did not know the tour was for two-hours, most of that spent standing or walking. I think that fact should be a little more prominent. That, though, is a quibble. I recommend this tour.

Really, really great. Loved all the history and was shown gardens I had not known existed--a real treat for me. I will definately take more tours. I live in the area, but there's a lot I don't know about! The trees were beautiful even though...continued
Please note: This walk does not include interior tours of any buildings. It does not include a walk around the entire Tidal Basin area. (It is usually too crowded to bring a walking tour group around the Tidal Basin.) The walk concludes at the Tidal Basin, site of most of the famous Japanese cherry trees. Walk participants are welcome to walk the area on their own.
