Advertising this as a cherry blossom cruise is pretty disingenuous. It may take place during the time frame of the cherry blossom festival, however, you get no where near the cherry blossoms, which are primarily located around the Tidal Basin. It is a nice little tour of a section of DC with which I was unfamiliar and the tour guide gives some nice historical background. But if you truly want to see the cherry blossoms, you will want to get close to them after this boat tour is over.
Cruise Duration: 90 minutes, including boarding and unloading time (sailing time is about 1 hour, 15 minutes).
Cherry Blossom Harbor Cruise is a product name of DC Harbor Cruises, however, only Mother Nature has control over when these rare trees will bloom. DC Harbor Cruises cannot guarantee that the Cherry Blossoms will be in full bloom at the time of your departure.
The 2014 Cherry Blossom Festival is scheduled for March 20-April 13.
There is a full bar/concessions area on board with drinks and snacks for purchase. Baby strollers are permitted on board.
