Lucía: Film Looks at Pivotal Moments in Cuban History
See a screening of Lucía, part of the Havana Film Festival's 40-Year Anniversary Retrospective, during Artes de Cuba at The Kennedy Center Family Theatre. This black-and-white period piece is a series of three dramatic stories told across different moments in Cuban history -- the Cuban war of independence, the 1930s and the 1960s -- as seen through the eyes of three different women, each named Lucía. The film won the Golden Prize and Prix FIPRESCI at the 6th Moscow International Film Festival.
