calls "the most successful and influential choreographer alive, and indisputably the most musical," and the Yo-Yo Ma-founded world-music group Silk Road Ensemble. Traditional vocalists Alim Qasimov and Fargana Qasimova sing the part of the ill-fated lovers, while the Mark Morris Dance Group expresses the tale through lyrical movement.
