As part of the O.B. Hardison Poetry Series at Folger Theatre, poets James Fenton and Mark Kraushaar will appear in conversation with moderator Joseph Harrison. The event celebrates Kraushaar's 2010 win of the Anthony Hecht Poetry Prize -- a prestigious contest from Waywiser Press, for which Fenton was the judge. Kraushaar's first collection, Falling Brick Kills Local Man
, won the 2009 Felix Pollak Prize, while it was his The Uncertainty Principle
that scored him the Hecht Prize. The author of several volumes of poetry himself, Fenton has also worked as a political journalist, drama critic, book reviewer, war correspondent, foreign correspondent and columnist. Harrison, a poet and Waywiser Press senior American editor, will give the introduction and moderate the conversation.
