Source Festival 2012 Artistic Blind Dates: The Pressure Cooker
The Source Festival's Artistic Blind Date program teams creators from nine different disciplines to come up wth new and innovative theater works. At the performance, the audience gets an inside view of the creative process as the Blind Date teams present their work and then engage the audience in discussion. The Pressure Cooker was created by choreographer Hayley Cutler, playwright Liz Maestri and musician/visual artist Nguyen Nguyen and portrays the process of three strangers building a house out of their together out of their individual longing and dread. In the end it turns out that home is where the art is.
