What better way to celebrate Claude Debussy's 150th anniversary than an evening featuring the sounds and splendor of the Belle Epoque Paris to which he was accustomed? In Series honors Debussy, the famed French composer of "Claire de Lune", Daphnis et Chloe
and so many others, with a salon-style event featuring artists performing some of his finest work for voice, violin and piano. Soprano Debra Lawrence, tenor Richard Tappen, violinist Sonya Hayes and pianists Frank Conlon and Carla Hubner are slated to perform Debussy's Baudelaire Songs, Violin Sonata, as well as pieces by his famed contemporaries Erik Satie and Reynaldo Hahn. Visual artist Greg Stevens hosts this intimate salon in honor of a genius and the remarkable times in which he lived.
