Imagining Madoff: The Ponzi Schemer's Prison Confessions
Unrepentant Ponzi-schemer Bernard Madoff attempts to set the record straight from his prison cell, through imagined conversations with client Solomon Galkin (loosely based on Elie Wiesel, a real-life Nobel laureate and Holocaust survivor who was a victim of Madoff's Ponzi scheme) in this production from New Repertory Theatre. The play features a moral showdown between two powerful men, as well as testimony from Madoff's personal secretary before the Securities and Exchange Commission. It isn't all money talk though. These two intriguing men face off on women, baseball, religion and more in a play that might not be totally accurate but is completely entertaining.
