Have enjoyed this program on the radio. It was a pleasure to see how it's done live. It is a smoothly oiled production. The performers were terrific and Christopher OReilly played piano accompaniment for some of them beautifully.

For the past decade, From the Top has been the preeminent showcase for America’s finest young classical musicians. Through award-winning NPR and PBS programs, online media, a national tour of live events and educational programs, From the Top shares the stories and performances of pre-collegiate musicians with millions of audience members every week.

Each program provides a compelling and entertaining window into the world of a diverse group of young people, who pursue life with passion, determination and joy. Christopher O’Reilly will host this inaugural taping of From the Top at Lincoln Theater Napa Valley.

Performing on the broadcast is 12-year-old pianist Marie Kelly from Napa, California. Other young musicians include 17-year-old clarinetist Perry Choi from Monterey, CA, performing the second movement of Mozart’s Concerto in A major, K. 622, accompanied by Christopher O’Riley on the piano, 17-year-old violist Arianna Smith from Saint Charles, IL, performing My Heart and Circus by Paul Coletti, accompanied by Christopher O’Riley, and 15-year-old violinist Nikita Haduong from Henderson, NV, accompanied by Christopher O’Riley. A final performer will be selected in the coming weeks.
