About Life Sucks.
Don't miss INTERACT THEATRE COMPANY's highly anticipated Los Angeles premiere of Aaron Posner's Off-Broadway hit dramedy "LIFE SUCKS" with a stellar cast including John Ross Bowie ("The Big Bang Theory") at the Broadwater Main Stage! In LIFE SUCKS., a bold and inventive reimagining of Anton Chekhov's classic play, "Uncle Vanya," Aaron Posner ("Stupid F*#king Bird") plumbs the quiet chaos of seven people locked together in the bonds of friendship and family as they wrestle with the ridiculous, humiliating vagaries life imposes: unrequited love, the indignities of aging, and the eternally flummoxing quest for a meaningful, satisfying existence. Amidst their irrepressible desires and lingering dissatisfactions, this troupe of hapless yet hopeful souls embarks on a comedic, heartfelt, and sometimes tumultuous quest, stumbling upon new perspectives that challenge their core beliefs. Praised by audiences and critics alike, the "Chicago Sun-Times" calls LIFE SUCKS "Altogether wise, profoundly humane, hilarious, quirky, endearing, and in countless clever ways, brilliantly faithful to its source." Directed by ITC Artistic Director Barry Heins, the cast of LIFE SUCKS features (in alphabetical order): John Ross Bowie as "Vanya," Anne Gee Byrd as "Babs," Olivia Castanho as "Sonia," Erin Pineda as "Ella," Lily Rains as "Pickles," Marc Valera as "Dr. Aster," and Steve Vinovich as "The Professor." The play also features live musical performances by guitarist Dylan Gorensen and violinist Madison Leinster.
