Glendale Youth Orchestra presents Rachmaninoff & Dvorak Tickets

The Glendale Youth Orchestra (GYO) lead by Music Director & Conductor Henry Shin will perform the 35th Anniversary Season Opening concert at the historic Alex Theatre with a world premier by local up and coming composer Michael Ramirez – “A Shadow Cast in the Silhouette of Being” as part of the California Festival: A Celebration of New Music. The concert will also feature 2023 Piano Concerto Winner Everett Leigh (13) playing Rachmaninoff Piano Concert No. 3 in d minor, Op. 30 and Dvorak Symphony No. 8 in G Major, Op. 88. The Glendale Youth Orchestra (GYO) is one of Los Angeles Counties leading youth orchestras. Our mission is based on the belief that our young people have a better chance of succeeding in their world if they appreciate and participate in its rich artistic and cultural traditions. GYO provides young musicians ages 10-23 from all over L.A. County with a unique opportunity to play classical music.
