BEE زنبور is a new play from Off-Broadway that explores the strength of family, fleeing your home, and immigration. It is based on a true story about Izat, a young Iranian girl, trapped in an abusive marriage in the 1940s. In an unprecedented move, her father is able to use his influence to secure a divorce for her. Moving back and forth in time from 1940 to 2009, the story follows Izat's struggles on her path toward a better life. It stars a talented all female Middle Eastern cast. BEE زنبور takes further inspiration from a collection of interviews with Middle Eastern immigrants and refugees and weaves between the scenes movement and music. Running Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays at 7.30pm from November 3-19th. No intermission and run time is 90 minute
