foundingfather’s review

I like the new location in Bethesda. Free (on weekends) public parking garage immediately next to the theater, restaurants in walking distance and a lobby much more conducive to hanging out and waiting. This time the show was just OK. It was a deviation from the previous three times I've gone. Someone new came out and said this was a form of storytelling that he's taken across the world. That seemed to limit the troop's creativity. Where there previously were many props used, this time it was only scarfs and large wooden dowel sticks that banging on the ground in unison. They show was only about 50 minutes long. I realize that's a long time for improv, but only one set so not much bang for your buck. And we were done in what seemed like no time. First time I saw Precipice they created a 45 minute musical on the spot, took a break, and then came back with a 45 minute drama. That got me hooked but it's never been the same since. Very creative folks, just wish they did two shorter sets instead. While the musical must have been very tough, it was very enjoyable.
