How was your experience?
Wow! I had a great time. I decided that I deserved a fun evening, and man-o-man did I get a great night to remember. The male group, Top Hat, were amazing. I had the perfect seat. I loved how the performers interacted, sang and danced with the audience and ME! Yep, being out by myself, it made my evening dancing with the guys (smile). I thought it was so touching that children were invited on stage to participate in the show; I am sure that was very empowering gesture for young ones; the kids even knew some of the words. (Just enought, but not overdone.) It was a hoot when men from the audience were invited to be members of the Temptations for a night; whether they could sing, dance or not, it was all thrilling and beautiful to watch. They even song love ballots, inviting to couples danced. (Not overdone.) I thought the singers of Top Shelf were great performers with voices that mixed very well for harmony. However, the female voices lacked luster, except for the lady that sang songs from the Supremes (an okay voice). I was going to leave after Act 1, but I delayed my departure. When Act 2, the lobby performance, started, I was hooked and did not want to leave. They sang songs of all kinds to entertain us guests from Soul, to Country and Latina music. What a great Friday night! Let’s do that again. My only disappointment was that the lobby bar ran out of VOSS bottled water. I will be anxiously anticipating the next Motown performance. When you consider how much shows cost these days, we got way more than our money’s worth. Debra
