Friday September 25, 2009 / 8:00pmBye Bye Liver: The Chicago Drinking Play
How was your experience?
Cute show! It's in the large second floor of Fizz Bar & Grill. The stage is a bar and they do various skits of the way people act when they are drinking. Parts are audience participation, but during this the actors are very nice about it, meaning that they don't pick on people and embarrass them. The actors were funny and seemed to all get along well. Most of the show is improvised, or at least it seems that way. Seats are arranged around little tables that have drink menus on them for buckets of beer (4 beers for $14)and pitchers of cocktails. I'm not sure if you can order a mixed drink or something that isn't on the menu - we went with the drink pitchers. You pay when they bring each round rather than getting a bill at the end. Overall it was a very fun show with good drinks. We went to the 8:00 show, and the special at Fizz on Fridays is half-price appetizers from 6:00 - 8:00 so we made a cheap meal of appetizers before the show, then had Goldstar tickets for the show, so it turned out to be a cheap evening out.
