How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
There were 10 "food tasters" in our group, not including the two owners (Alex & Jeff) and Ben, our tour guide. Ben was wonderful. He is an enthusiastic guide who loves to share his knowledge of the downtown area. The people in the group were great too! Everyone was friendly and we got to talk with one another while we sat down at the restaurants we visited. We went to Lost Souls Cafe and had Pan de sal and Ube drink. They were both delicious and I will be going back for more. Our next stop was Syrup Desserts where we had a delicious grilled cheese pastry with raspberries along with a creamcheese pastry with pears. It was scrumptous. We then headed out to LA Cafe where they had rich tasting sandwiches and salads. After, we headed to the Thai restaurant Soi 7. They served us calamari, beef and chicken satay, and curry rice - all very good! Our last stop, and we were already full, was Cuidad where we enjoyed the ceviche, spinach empanadas, mushroom empanadas, and duck pate on toasted bread. We were so full, we couldn't eat another bite. We walked 18 blocks which was NOT tiring. I wore boots with heels (I made sure they were comfortable) and I had no problem. With all the food that you are eating on this food tour, you have to do some walking. What a great idea to try new restaurants in a personal group setting with new people, all the while learning about the downtown LA area. I will definately be going on some more of these excursions. The max size of the group is 12 which is a perfect size. I had a GREAT time!

Help others enjoy a great night out

You will be eating a lot! If you are going to eat, have your last meal at 9 am.
Dress in layers because downtown gets a little cold as the sun goes down.
You don't need to bring a purse. You will be given a bag with water in it.
Bring some extra money if you want to purchase drinks.
Bring a camera because there are some beautiful sights in LA.
For $5.00 you can park on the corner of Olive and 5th street.
