How was your experience?

Clear I hated it I didn't like it It was OK I liked it I loved it!
The best word I can use to describe this show is FUN. It is truly a fun, energetic, “take-me-down-memory lane” show. If you were a kid, teenager or young adult in the 80’s, this show will bring back so many memories, sentiments, emotions and laughter. Unfortunately, the Sunday afternoon that we attended, the female lead, Season Marshall Duffy (who is a fantastic singer), did not perform. In her place, Colleen Kollar Smith performed. Although Ms. Smith is the co-writer of the show, the choreographer, and a very talented individual, she is not the greatest singer. Her singing style made all the songs she sang sound too much alike and too “Broadway Show-Tune-ish” sounding. That said, it was a very good show, had us singing out loud along to the songs and dancing in our seats! I would only take issue with the song “Head Like a Hole” by Nine Inch Nails being included in this show – although recorded in 1989, it was not released until 1990 – it is not a song that resonates with the 80’s. I could tell most of the audience did not even recognize the song. The costumes, hair styles, cultural references of the era, and slang will make you roar with laughter (or cringe, as it were). Thank you to Goldstar for terrific seats at an awesome price. I would definitely recommend this show for a fun-filled journey back in time!
